21 Free Motion Graphics Templates for Adobe Premiere Pro
If you want to elevate your video projects with professional-looking titles, lower thirds, and other design elements, motion graphics templates (.mogrt files) are the way to go. These templates let you create stunning visuals directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro, without needing to dive into After Effects.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to install and use these free motion graphics templates step by step.
Step 1: Install the Fonts
Before you start using the templates, make sure you’ve installed all the fonts included in the download folder.
- Open the folder where you saved the templates.
- Find the font files and install them on your system (double-click the file and select Install).
⚠️ If you skip this step, your text graphics might not display correctly inside Premiere.
Step 2: Install the .Mogrt Files into Premiere
The motion graphics templates come in .mogrt format. Here’s how to add them to your project:
- Open Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Go to the Essential Graphics panel (Window > Essential Graphics).
- At the bottom-right corner of the panel, click the small + icon inside a square.
- Select the .mogrt file you want to install.
👉 Note: Premiere currently doesn’t allow batch installation. You’ll need to install templates one at a time.
Step 3: Using & Customizing the Templates
Once installed, using your new motion graphics is simple:
- Drag your chosen template from the Essential Graphics panel onto your timeline.
- Select the template in the timeline.
- Open the Edit tab of the Essential Graphics panel.
Here, you can customize:
- Text (font, size, style, etc.)
- Colors (adjust to match your brand or video style)
- Opacity and visibility (turn on/off certain elements)
Customization options vary depending on the template, but most are designed to be flexible and beginner-friendly.
